So the last episode dropped and in Japanese dub it's "Wake up".
Is the original korean meaning closer to "Arise" or did they change that for the English translation? (I guess "wake up" didn't sound cool enough or smth idk)

doesn't matter since the sound of okiro sounds cool and you can read it as arise

The first arise wasn't really special either way. Its better later seasons when Jin Woo gets more powerful

wouldn't "get up" be more accurate? since it can be used on a sleeping person too

I haven't read the manhwa so I probably can't have an opinion on it, but I'm not sure why people are making a big deal out of it. He sounded pretty badass just saying "okiro" in his deep Japanese voice. It probably would have sounded unnatural if he had just said "araizu" instead.

@Artemis_Furrson I mean I'm not complaining, nor really care what he says in the dubs. I just wanna know what he says in Korean xD
People here don't seem to want to answer that question tho

Yes. Okiru means to get up, wake up, or rouse. It makes sense since he’s “waking up” the souls of the dead.

I have no idea how I did it, but I accidentally replied under the wrong post.

As a Madoka fan, I'd prefer to leave "okiro" to Madokami waking her mom in the morning.

Okiro sounds too normal.
Arise has the right amount of chunibyo for me.
