'Kijin Gentoushou' Reveals Main Cast, Staff, Teaser Promo, Summer 2024 Premiere

The official website of the Kijin Gentoushou (Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentoushou) television anime series revealed the main cast, staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video on Thursday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Summer 2024.

The anime adapts Motoo Nakanishi's historical fantasy novels which was originally penned on the novel publishing website Arcadia between January 2013 and May 2016, followed by a continuation that ran on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in September–October that year. Futabasha began publishing the novel with illustrations by Tamaki in June 2019. The 14th volume shipped in November 2023.

Yuu Satomi began serializing a manga adaptation in Monthly Action magazine in September 2021. Futabasha shipped the fifth volume in September 2023.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel and manga adaptation in February 2022. The fifth light novel volume and fourth manga volume are scheduled to go on sale on May 14 and March 19, respectively.

The animation is really good most probably the best looking Yokohama Animation Lab anime.

The teaser looks amazing, wow. The premise sounds interesting, too.

A little skeptical about the studio, because of how The Witch and the Beast is barely hobbling along this season, but would like to know more about this one.
