It's also before all that a good story that got enough time to develop which I consider essential for original stories.

Because Code Geass panders to too many of the things I dislike, the result is that I dislike Code Geass as well.

I've noticed that, as well, that's the strong point of Code Geass. Catering to all audiences.
Remember what Master Oogway told us:

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.

Does ok mean that it was kinda boring. Or a nothing special type of boring?

It can really differ depending on what the show brings about. Some shows are just pretty good at serving/entertaining the audience with a not so well immersive story or stories you would think about after finishing a show. This leads to a pretty boring rewatch.

Yes. What else is new?

I love how "awesome climax" is a pandering thing in your World xD. Weird.

thats why it gathers so many ppl, but not everyone likes it all, u only have to like 4 of those points to make it worth watching.

me personally im not a big mecha fan so every battle aside from the one where they take control of Fleija were all a turn down to me but when the rest os all spot on

It shamelessly wants everyone to love it. Fortunately, it's really good, and so it mostly succeeds.

@funfishday not at all, objectively speaking. I'm not referring to new or alternative installments, if you just couldn't get into the old 1979 anime read the manga retelling instead:

this is honestly the most overhyped average show I've ever seen, 2006 had plenty good animes and this doesn't deserve to be with the likes of them, sometimes the only thing that kept me watching was fanservice.

How is it overhyped or average? Its better than everything came out in 2006 which is why it won the award for it in following years.

Yes, it's mass appealing. What else is new?

An anime that has its MC kill one of its waifus at the end of the first season, and then has him die at the end of the 2nd is by definition one that does not pander to its audience. Equal exchange. Yes Lelouche exits more honorably than Light, but his original goal--a world in which his sister can live comfortably--is neither as selfish nor as sociopathic. And by the end is it clear, really, that Lelouche has simply been a tool for Geass? Oh and the fact the anime can generate questions such as this is a sign of a well-written story. Light is the Edgelord; Lelouche is the Hamlet of anime.
