There's 2 live action films out there. First one introduces it all and the 2nd one is centred around the Gourmet fella.

Thought the first one was really good, they really kept the gore in and there was some sick fight scenes in it. Second one was decent too but I preferred the first one.

Anyone else seen em, what do you think?

i only watch few live actions, so here's my question what's the point of LA if there's an anime or manga of it?

90% of the time there's more eyes on a live action project than an animated one, and more eyes means more money. plus sometimes it's cheaper to do a live action for a more down to earth series (i.e. more Shoujo manga have live action adaptations than anime ones since they're often romances that don't require a ton of costly CGI that would make an anime version the better business choice). I can't speak on the Tokyo Ghoul one since I haven't seen it, but there are very good reasons to make a live action over an anime sometimes.

Other target groups, not everyone is into anime or manga, but many would be willing to watch live action.

Yea. I've watched them. 1st flim is not that deep but definitely created the atmosphere. It was pretty decent, imo. About the second film, it felt underwhelming. The main content of second flim actually should've been a side plot or something. The content is not good enough to be stretched into whole movie. Well, that's my view.
