 The official website for the Suicide Squad Isekai anime revealed the main cast, opening theme, multiple visuals (main visual pictured above), and a teaser promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2024. Cast Harley Quinn: Anna Nagase (Summertime Render) Joker: Yuuichirou Umehara (Akudama Drive) Deadshot: Reigo Yamaguchi (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) Peacemaker: Takehito Koyasu (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV)) Clayface: Jun Fukuyama (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu) King Shark: Subaru Kimura (Jujutsu Kaisen) Singer-songwriter and composer Tomoyasu Hotei (Zoids Shinseiki/Zero opening theme composition) performs the opening theme "Another World," which is previewed in the promotional video below. Eri Osada (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 4: Diamond wa Kudakenai episode director) is directing the anime at Wit Studio. Tappei Nagatsuki (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) and Eiji Umehara (Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song) are penning the script. Naoto Hosoda (Seiren) is adapting the original character design from Akira Amano (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!). Kenichiro Suehiro (Golden Kamuy) is composing the music. | @malvarez1 I belong to the group of anime fans who are really not into isekai genre and prefer to avoid it by default. And yet, I'm really excited about this upcoming show. The concept is positively crazy. It mixes Western franchise (DC Universe) with tropes known from the Japanese animation (isekai genre, aesthetics, etc.), and in general broughts a breath of fresh air. Like you said, the protags are not your usual generic isekai characters. These elements made me quite hyped about this series. Oh, and judging by its trailer, it's gonna have really cool looking visuals and animation. |
