| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So, was Eva taken by Roberto, by Johan himself, or she's with someone else? This was something I couldn't figure out =S Also, it's nice to see that Runge is making some progress, regarding the author of the picure book. Maybe he'll face Johan before Tenma (would be really cool, if that happened =P). |
| I don't know what's going on. The DVD jacked up starting ep 36-mid55, so just skipped those episodes. But I think I'm going to understand it fully for about 2 episodes. Hahaha! Well well. XD |

| Well, Eva was probably killed or taken by Roberto, but I am also sure that they are going to make a huge twist and deny what I have just said. Now Runge's search for Johan was a better part of the episode. He really made a lot of progress. And, if Runge and Tenma would actually combine their forces and knowledge, I think they would be able to find Johan easily. Because Runge has a lot of knowledge about Franz Bonaparta, and the mansion, he even has Johan's love letter. While Tenma just got a spy's book which probably has some information about Bonaparta. Now what about the note Johan left? It seems that Johan was pretending to be a schizophrenic again. He wrote as if the good side has taken over him for a moment, but the note contained a glimpse of sarcasm, and I think Tenma understood it. A calling to The Mansion of Red Roses? Why would Johan do that? What would be his purpose in getting Tenma to that mansion, all the way back to Prague. Either Johan is just playing with him, or he wants to show something. Maybe he decided to psychologically terrorize Tenma like the others? But then again, Johan seems to cherish Tenma, so I don't know. |

| These last few episodes have been amazing! I've never been this into a series in a LONG time! I don't think Eva's dead. I don't think she's going to die. She's so dispicable, yet not a villan, that they won't kill her off. I don't know if that makes sense, but in my head, it does. |
| I dont think Roberto was the one who took Eva coz Eva's facial expression after opening the door doesn't seem like she saw Roberto.. Might be just me but could it be Johan or someone I can't think of.. Oh well, the last part with Mr. Verdeman's new life as father is quite good.. |

| Meh I think they were even a bit SOFT on Verdermann, they just ransacked his place, not really like Johann/Roberto and co. If they REALLLLLY wanted the memo, they would have captures and tortured him till he gave the location away and then killed him, so could be much worse ^^ |
| Really thought that guy was gonna die, I mean at the very end seemed like the perfect (although it would be sad) moment for like a crazed gunman to burst in killing all three of them. With the music and everything, glad however that it didn't happen like this. |

| Touching episode. So Tenma got place where Eva was. And bartender was calling cops. And one guy says where is my jacket haha. Nice Tenma. Also another scene I would laugh if Tenma was caught the old woman he pushed. Haha that woman's expression was hilariously. Good thing was that Reinchwield talked with Friz that he believes Tenma and he kind of got Friz to also think about what he said about Tenma later. Now Friz has been go through many things in his past. Is was kind of sad to see that he was bullied about that his father was spy. So I can understand of him. Those kids couldn't understand how he felt of that. Still it's nice to see that Friz has nice job and his life is going smoothly. That's why he basically started to believe Tenma. Tenma had also good point in the episode: Never trust guys with weapons on them. And he is basically right and wrong about this thing. But it was good sentence and it really has meaning in the life. Also Lunge seems to be know really much about that picture book he bought when he was in Prague. Also we got some new info considering Franz Bonaparta. That he was basically leader in secret police organization and also that he was working as spy there. And he did meetings in Red Rose Mansion. Man that place was so messed up when Friz and Tenma went there. O_O That Friz and Elsa scene with the baby was just awesome. And it was so touching moment. I am glad they didn't screw that scene with some action. It would been bad then. 5/5 |

| amazing episode :D we're definitely getting close to Franz Bonaparta!! we finally see Tenma wearing the same coat he uses during the openings. this tells us that we're getting closer to the ending :( glad Reichwein talked to Vardemann! wow Tenma just pushed that lady out of nowhere XD guess he's tired being cast on suspicion. man Lunge has been getting alot of new information as we speak. he even managed to link Vardemann's father with Franz Bonaparta. i wonder what they're meeting about? i feel sorry for Vardemann being treated like that since his childhood. all he believed that his father is innocent. guess having all the evidence pointed at him being a spy made him down in the dumps and wow Tenma being aggressive out of nowhere!!! i actually thought Tenma is gonna shoot Vardemann. Tenma should have believed Vardemann all the way. so Roberto is after the notes huh? i wonder how important are they? lol they just went outside a few minutes then came back to his home it's already in ruin. and wow they still haven't managed to find it? The Wizard of Oz? such an old book? :P i'm surprised Roberto didn't took Vardemann's child as a hostage or his wife at all. so he and his wife finally lives a peaceful life? he'll probably get a vacation for awhile now. finally next episode we're gonna see Dieter and Anna!! looks like i'll take a break for now, gonna watch this maybe tomorrow or in a few days. love this series soo much!! |

| I'm really more interested in Runge's investigation at the moment than anything else. Ehh just let Eva rot in Roberto's basement or something. Now I can see why Verdeman was so shaken up by hearing Over the Rainbow, I have to say I like how this series is able to really make me feel for the supporting characters. |

| Ah, so Verdeman knew his father was guilty. Hearing people constantly chide him to believe in x like he believed in his father must sting. I would find it interesting if Lunge had found Eva, but at this point it was probably Roberto. Not much to say yet. It looks like we're heading back to Prague. |

| How did Lunge discover so many of the things he said to Verdeman? I feel I'm starting to miss hints I should have picked up. Why did Roberto mess up Verdeman's house without taking the notes? I find it hard to believe that he just wasn't able to find it. So what had Roberto really been after? Did he perhaps alter/replace the notes like Johan did with the cassette? And certainly, at least Tenma must have found it strange that Roberto had not found the notes/left them behind. For the time being, we can assume that Eva isn't dead because A. She wouldn't have been that shocked if it had only been Roberto since she was expecting him B. Johan could not have gone after her (and probably wouldn't have cared to) since he's still in Prague (isn't he?) C. I imagine she has been escorted somewhere by a character we haven't seen in a while. Meeting who would surprise Eva most? D. Once things have come to an end, she'll probably show up and save Tenma. Until then, I expect, the show will make things as interesting as possible so we forget her. This episode felt slightly uneventful tbh. |

| I was sweating bullets because I feared for Fritz, his wife and their baby glad they are ok... hope Eva make it out alive I think she is done suffering (that is what I want to believe) so she can move on as well as change for good so she can be a witness and speak on behalf of Tenma... |

| Well, damn. If you'd have told me that Somewhere Over the Rainbow would be used so powerfully in this show I'd have laughed at you. Fantastic ending. No major plot revelations this episode but everything is advancing well. Lunge is going to find out the truth extremely soon, I feel. Also Tenma is definitely losing it, what with the way he waves that gun around so much. Hopefully they can end this before he goes a step too far. |
