Do I need to watch it in any specific order or just release order that is on Mal list ?

The release order is fine. The only thing that wasn't released in order was a "porori hen" but since it doesn't affect the overall plot you can watch it in release order as well.

Release order is correct order. There is very little filler and even those are not to bad, so you don't have to bother with planning and skipping.

I ain't gonna skip any episode or filler since it's Gintama.. I'm watching it for humar and fan .. so I'm not gonna focus only on plot .. so I guess release order is best for me .. since all these complicated orders are just for "story watchers"

yeah but watching them first wouldn't give the best impression of the show, i myself watched those ep after completing 20 something eps
and hey who are you lying to? they were kinda mid and were celebration eps for manga readers for new anime

those are actually not complicated watch order but rather the author intended watch order,
ofcourse Gintama main soul resides in comedy eps
which last for 300+ eps which are masterpiece (some serious arcs in-between) but after these comes a set of long serious arcs stretch till finale
anime skips some comedy arcs and place them in between last serious arcs stretch
and in the last arc of gintama there's some inconsistencies in adaptation as they skip parts of the manga and made the final gintama movie and later poorly adapted those skipped chapters as semi-final, if you watch on strict release order then semi final ofcourse come at last, gintama doesn't has a hard watch order its basically the release order ,
it's just it has tons of entries,
at the end of they it upto you how to watch , i myself followed in got the peak experience
(also the first gintama serious arc is remade as a movie with great animation, you can watch both the t.v version and the movie of the arc , but watching the movie first gives you ton of hype)

Not worth your time after Saraba Shinsengumi anyway.

It was a traumatic event for me, it was like seeing a dear friend dying episode after episode in front of me.
I still couldn't get over it.

I watch it all and I will give you some advice 1_ don't listen to anyone tell you to watch on specific order 2 _ you have to finish the first season no matter what because it is the most boring one if you finish it everything will be ok 3 _ go watch it on MAL order which is the normal order

Different strokes for different folks I guess, I saw them first and thats what I recommend to everyone but I guess canon wise they may not make a lotta sense but I definitely loved those episodes and didnt even know they were fillers and after watching them I came to know that they were fillers lmao.

Haha yeah that's fair. The first two episodes left me really confused and came to make sense later, so I recommend to ppl to skip them and watch them after the first MAL chuck of episodes.
