Can I have hope in Tomoko? Does it evolve in the manga? Or is she still the same stupid narcissist who thinks she's better than others but can't talk to almost anyone outside her bubble?

it becomes very different later. I haven't read it in a while but she does make a lot of friends

Anime ended on anime original note without status quo changing at all.
Apparently in the manga she really develops and even

@Piromysl Should I start the manga from the beginning or did the anime change so much that there's no way to read where the anime left off?

Dunno man. Just glanced over a few chapters of manga a while back and saw some spoilers.

yes she evolves a lot, the anime took her most cringe arc which is the first year, but in the second year she start socialicing more and even make friends. For what i can remember if you want to continue the story after the anime you have yo start in the ch 35 of the manga.

I read it on mi vacations and was really worth it
