I get that this is a really generic question but I genuinely want to know which is the better way of experiencing this series

Manga. Art is better and the cg in the anime is kinda jarring.

Anime, the fluid fight scenes don't really come out in manga form, imo.

When it comes to a truly great anime, then the answer should always be anime.
If you reply back to me and I never respond, I lost interest and don't care. Sorry about that.

I prefer the Manga. I think the pacing is better and the art looks really good too.
But unlike other seinen (coughs* kingdom coughs again* berserk) the anime is well adapted and very comparable to the Manga...

Obviously season 3 won't drop for another year or more so Manga also allows you to catch up sooner..

Anime better, manga does like 2 small panels better, that’s it.
The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

Anime. Season 2 is one of the best adaptations I've seen in a long time; the visual quality, the sound, the extra content, it has everything you can ask for from an anime

The answers are so divided, damn.

I own only the first three volumes of the manga so I cannot comment accurately but my motto is that moving pictures are better than still pictures.

For me it's a manga but I think it's just because I like the medium better, this is a great adaptation.

it’s a excellent manga with an excellent adaptation. If you read a lot of manga and prefer to experience it that way then do that if you are used to anime and prefer it then do that. this is one of the only series I’ll say this for but seriously pick your preference

anime adaptation is 1:1

manga is more detailed, the original

so it’s up to you really

The manga panels are beautifully drawn and there is more darkness than in the anime. However, in anime, the fight scenes are easier to watch and have more emotion. Manga for the story and beautiful panels, anime for the fight scenes and action

Just watch the anime, then read the manga. The anime (s1-2) only covers to ch 100 and there’s 204 chapters

Anyone who says manga over anime isn’t a true fan because as far as I’ve seen the manga and anime’s are usually slightly different but it’s mostly the same as reasing books and Watching the movies, of course the books are gonna be jam packed with details and the little things you’d probably miss if you just watched the movies, one perfect example is the Percy Jackson books when I was younger I read most of them after watching the movies, I had just gotten into reading and ohhh boy the books make you feel as you’re there watching the story unfold whereas the movies are slightly shittier don’t get me wrong I loved the movies I’m just giving an example that when u read the source materials for something it’s usually filled with details and other lil things that don’t get passed onto the production part, therefore reading and watching are Two completely different things and anyone who says otherwise if a nolife virgin.

It's not even close to the Manga. It's decent because it's the best we ever got.
Objectively it isn't that great, especially when compared to other works in the late 90's...

objectively? No... most people that talk about it say good things. it has more 10/10 scores than anything else. objectively is known as a classic.

Is Kingdom's adaptation bad?

First 2 seasons were bad for most people.
Every season after season 2 has been less CGI, which is more accepted by the mainstream.
Latest season looks a lot better, however as a whole it is not up to par with the Manga.

As was my main point for bringing up Kingdom and Berserk as examples of butchered anime of classic Manga.
If you love the series you can look beyond those flaws (although some don't)..

I didn't mind the first 2 seasons but it put off a lot of people from starting kingdom, which is a damn shame because Kingdom still doesn't have official English Manga volumes releasing in part due to the way the anime performed outside of Japan...

The first 2 seasons are CGI heavy. Next seasons are better more traditional, but still contain CGI.
The adaptation is pretty good for the anime as a whole.
If it isnt to your liking reading the Manga for the first two seasons or all of the Manga is never a bad thing...

Anime, the only thing i may prefer from the manga are those moments where the art of the manga is superior to the art of the anime, and the only moment i can think of is when Thorkell makes a soldier paralyze in fear, in the anime it looks kinda dumb but in the manga thorkell looks terrifying
