in episode 15, it was stated to the court that the queen had a miscarriage, and the reason was oscar drawing her sword near the queen. Everybody is shocked and in horror. I am currently on episode 18, but it seems like it is never mention again. Shouldn't oscar be executed if she is the reason for the queen's miscarriage? Will it be relevant in the future? Why add such a scene if it is not going to be used?

Nothing ever comes out of this plot point. As to why, basically bad writing.

I don’t remember if this ever gets resolved but something to keep in mind is that I’m pretty sure the show runner died around episode 19 and it had to be taken over by osamu dezuki to finish the remaining second half, so that could be a contributing factor to the inconsistencies. It’s not a perfect show but al things considered I think dezuki handled it like a pro. I wonder if it gets resolved in the manga…

miscarriages happen all the time without cause and so make a pretty bad reason to execute someone
