| He didn't get all the pages, but he did get some of them. Chihiro can remember anything for 12-13 hours before she forgets it forever. But the problem was that she couldn't go for long without thinking about Renji. She was hoping to forget him forever but she thought of him too much before he showed up and brought her some pages back. :) And no she can't be cured. |

| There is no contradiction. The chain shattering was symbolic of Chihiro no longer feeling bound by her condition. She still has it but it doesn't control her life anymore, she can live with it and be happy at the same time now. Chihiro can think of Renji all she wants but eventually she will start forgetting, because she can't possibly think about him every moment of every day. Say she gets sick and sleeps for 13 hours. She will wake not, not even remembering she the defect. Which totally happened in one episode. She forgot Renji and everything but she read about him from her diary after Yuu calmer her down. But it's kind of hard not to think about someone you love and just broke up with, plus that kind of thing would affect her sleep in some way. So she remembered. |
