| Well I have to say there is quite a difference in animation between this and the (early) 80's. Still enjoyed it though, Lupin is just great. Missed Goemon though :P |

| Besides knowing Lupin III was a thief I pretty much started watching this with no knowledge of how it would be. I was completely surprised by the over the top action in this show, that part with the changing cars was awesome and the guy trying to kill Fujiko in the most perverted way ever was also a win :p 4 / 5 |

| I found it pretty interesting how Lupin basically just blew up a bunch of guys while laughing his ass off! (He certainly don't have qualms about killing lol) You dont see that very often these days... xD |
| Though I already watched this once, I decided to give season 1 another go. Considering how old this is, I never noticed how good the animation was. For it's time, I thought it looked pretty good. As for the episode itself, it basically introduced some of the characters while having a little run in with the Scorpion Organization that appears to have a bone to pick with Lupin and his family. I don't remember if Scorpion makes another appearance since I haven't watching this in ages. Can't wait to watch more of this and move on to season 2. LOL'd hard when Zenigata commented on Lupin no longer having any freedom and he was pulling a broken car along with him. |

| Wow, I must commend the animation team, over 40 years later and this show still holds up! Lupin and Fujiko's dynamic is still one of the best in anime. I'm going to enjoy watching this series from the get go. |

I actually wanted to drop it before the part Lupin starts mentioning the cars the pro drivers were in. And it only got better from there. What DIDN'T get better and stayed the same was the GODDAMN ANIMATION. Well sure, 1971, but fucking hell that truly was an animation disaster (ESPECIALLY the part when Fujiko was screaming while being tickled to death (that's fucking evil indeed)). And so I begin my Lupin adventure. This'll be a good one. Can't wait to get started on City Hunter as well! |

| Over the top and I loved it. Liked that it has killing as well which the newer series lack from what I've seen. This episode alone was already better than the 2015 series for me. |
| As the beginning of the legend will not be the maximum, at the level of events, but the story is interesting because we talk about an anime so old. Lupine's strategy is interesting and his ruthlessness is a salinity trait of his character. Enough pulp the narrative you breathe the true myth of Lupine. The soundtrack is fascinating, as is the opening and the ending. The style of design is really original, so I love it. |

| I decided to rewatch Lupin III from the start, and I'm already being reminded of why I fell in love with it even if this first part isn't my favorite one. This already starts on fire, like with Lupin and Jigen changing places during the race, that was pretty cool. Zenigata is also here from the start, and there is already a betrayal by Fujiko too. Now I just have to wait for Goemon's debut and the main gang will all be here. I just love this OP, ED and OST by the way. It's so good! |

| I really love the classic art style. The kind of slapstick comedy nature to everything. The music is amazing through the episode as well. I think I'll keep watching. |
| As a beginning it is quite unsettling, without reading the synopsis, one would understand only this: a man has to compete in a car race, and there is someone who wants him dead, then his associates begin to be discovered and shortly after, presumably, also his sworn enemy, from which one better understands the character of the protagonist and the respective roles of the various characters. Quite daring storytelling in the events, I like the drawing style, good animations if we think about the year in which it was made, excellent soundtrack, the original Japanese series has openings and an ending that I have never seen, wow! |

| Meh. It has some moments, but I'm not fully sold on it yet. That OP animation though, that's straight-up mid-80's quality animation, unfucking believably good looking. I've watched better older anime (Gegege no Kitaro and Ashita no Joe), but nothing from the 70's that's in this specific set of genres, so I'll give it a fair chance. I'm not going to watch more than 1 episode a day though, since people online say it gets really repetitive if you binge it. 2.75/5 |

| It has boobs, cars and guns, what else can you possibly want? :D But yeah, the animation holds up, the designs are charming and expressive, the characters are super charismatic, and the plot is over the top. |
