That'd imply the show follows an abrahamic religion, so no. He is, however, an evil god in the series and was formed from the hatred in peoples hearts.

Eh, not really. He's an evil being, but I never got the impression that he was meant to be the supreme evil being aka Satan. There are other evil entities in the YGO universe, after all.
