| Not going to lie, I was looking forward to this because of how silly the manga was. This had a lot of meme-face moments with almost all the cast, but especially for Touka. Honestly, I think this anime is very self aware that it's trying to be funny. Yuna is rather amusing too. First episode bought together a lot of their chemistry and there's some fan service thrown in. But seriously, Touka is like a walking meme. |

| Well, I for sure didn't expect this fantasy to really be a fun parody. Masayoshi Ooishi's OP in this, it definitely screams fun. Same goes with Yurika Kubo's ED. The unremarkable villager Touka Scott with his childhood friend Yuna Yunis, well that's that, other than dressing stockings on daikon being like girls' thighs (that's quality fanservice there). And as expected, the Legendary Hero Sion Breydan impresses enough to scoff off Touka from Yuni after a devil comes attacking on their village, but him unconsciously dying from his trap, what an unfortunate series of events. Though what they do to settle his corpse, they bury him instead, Touka finds himself as the Hero instead...or rather, a skeleton of the Hero. This is thanks to necromancer Anri Haysworth swapping Sion's body into Touka while keeping his original body intact in a vessel, and Yuna joins along simply because it's adventuring. Touka parading around in Sion's body, he feels the love, but is crude at best, using people's kindness for returns, but with limited money due to necromancy being a taboo. Of course, there'll be girls to hook them up, but proving that he is the Hero is a tall order, and as expected, he gets exposed in the worst way ever. Sion's right-hand man companion Kyle Osment comes finding for him, but he's dead, and that's bad. While Touka gets burnt on the stake being an impostor, either get burnt, or do quests, but his mana is even miniscule to begin with. The choice can be given to Kyle as the next preceding spot, but extreme measures from Anri forces him to take extreme measures. Hmm, has Isekai Ojisan vibes, only if fantasy. Though it's kinda of a low-key thing. |

| Im all in to watch this one. I needed this type of comedy. Thats next level planning, have a necromancer close by, just in case. Kyle design remembers me of a Zatch Bell character. |

| That didn't make me laugh at all, I hope the comedy gets better. The characters are quite annoying. It's funny that the pervert mc is more tolerable than the other characters. The childhood friend is just a bitch in heat, necromancer girl is a stubborn brat and the Kyle or whatever guy is just a jerk. Disappointing start and I was looking forward to it too. Hope it gets better and the characters personalities gets better as well. |

| As one of who have read the manga, the comedy needs more impact however, it was still enjoyable to see the characters getting animated even if they probably skimmed through it. Yup, it feels like they skipped something... 🤔 or probably not...? For now, it is a fine episode, I'm looking forward for more quality adaptation from future episodes. (This needs fairy tail's comedy in it, and a bit disappointed we didn't get any BGMs while the comedy scenes are being played?) P.S. The characters VA's are decent enough just as as I hoped they should sound like but they need more emotion. 👀 |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| Episode was so-so in the end. The comic timing didn't click for some of the parts, but some were indeed fun.. at the very least somewhat funny. But hey the way legendary hero bite the dust sure came out of nowhere. The mere simplicity was hilarious. Hope there's more to it. Also please be a bit less annoying, even if it's on purpose lol. |

| Comedy feels kind of flat, nothing to write home about... Meh. What I can say however... Masayoshi Ooishi, what are you doing? This is just an amazing Opening song you put out there. Even like the animation and direction of it, it's a perfect match. |

| The series is off to a wacky start as Touka inadvertently killed The Legendary Hero when he fell into a trap that Touka created. Only to find himself in the Legendary Hero Sion's rotting corpse thanks to Anri's necromancer magic forcing him to go on an adventure along with his childhood friend Yuna. Although Touka looks like the Legendary Hero, he lacks the ability to perform the special skills that Sion had due to his lack of mana which lead to people finding out that he's a fake. Anri and Yuna run into Kyle who was also in Sion's party with Anri who filled him in on the legendary hero being already dead. Kyle suggested that he should play the role of the legendary hero, but Anri is convinced that Touka is the one since he killed Sion even though it was an accident. Touka has to prove that he is the legendary hero by killing the most devils on a quest from the adventure guild. This series has some absurd moments as a self aware parody along with some quality fan service. The OP and the ED were the real highlights as both of them are bangers. Its going to be one of those trashy fantasy series that is so bad, its good. |

| I would agree this is more Konosuba than the Konosuba this season, but man... It's so rushed... And the manga made me laugh out loud every other chapter, i want this anime to please please improve... ARGH |

| Down bad loser MC is my favorite for a fantasy parody. A bit all of over the place, but the episode had some funny moments. Yuna's pissed off expression was great, lol. |

| This is a slapstick fantasy comedy with some fanservice. I liked this first episode but I do agree that the characters are not that likeable so hopefully that improves as the series progresses. |
