Finished the show the other night, wondering if that's it or if the story continues in any way like a manga or something. Ik it's based on a VN and if it does theres probably no chance of a season 2, honestly arent too fussed either way just curious.

oh, very good to know! I bought the extended edition not that long ago, but postponed it due to my fears it's not going to offer much of the new content. But it seems it does?

the anime adapts literally the introductory route, you got a lot of game after that

The anime adapts about only 10% of the story and a lot of things are still different in IC. The story gets much more expansive from there and every route offers something new.

The anime only adapted the first chapter of the visual novel. White Album 2 vn has 3 chapters:
- Introductory chapter: The high school arc, only one linear route.
- Closing chapter: College/University arc. 5 different routes for the 3 new heroines and the 2 main heroines (Setsuna and Kazusa).
- Coda/Mini-after story: Short endings for Kazusa and Setsuna's respective routes.

Yea no chance of 2nd season, sadly.

Your best bet is the visual novel, which had a very good fan translation released in December 2021. The anime essentialy covers the prologue. The rest of the story is absolutely massive, with probably over 80 hours of content. It's also the third highest rated visual novel on VNDB, so its very highly regarded in the VN community.
