Hi I want to ask where to start reading manga after berserk 1998 because i dont want to watch berserk 2016 because all i see how bad it is

You should start the manga from the beginning since the 1997 cuts out a lot of stuff

You start from the beginning. Not only because the 97 anime is cutting stuff but because berserk is art and it needs to be appreciated as a whole

Berserk 1997 skips so much stuff including the entire first arc so I would just start from the beginning if I were you.

I agree this is one manga that is so different from any adaptations that you should start from the beginning. Especially if you’ve only seen the 1997 version.

Skip the manga it's not good. Move on to Berserk 2016 the sequel, it tells the next arc and it has godlike animation, truly one of the best examples of how animation should be done in modern times. Many people prefer it to the manga

You should really start from the beginning, none of the berserk anime get everything right, theirs a lit absent from that anime and tbh the art in the manga is worth it

the manga is so big that reading for the beginning will be the best thing you can and you won't even notice how compact the golden Arc is. do if for yourself because some scenes and panels are depicted minda different in anime or not even included

God, the 2016 sequal was Utterly disappointing. The artstyle and the Animation seems and feels like Trash puking trash. Compared to it the 1997 one was like a million times better..

Just start from the beginning, 97 skips 90% of Black Swordsman and does a lot of things different in Golden Age.
