As a guitarist, I felt identified (specially in the concert part). Mistakes, improvise, nervousness, etc. Definitely, Bocchi the Goat!

What a heartwarming episode. It was great seeing bocchi step up and get out of her shell to help the band. Im betting the blond girl knew bocchi was guitar hero from the start and was the person who commented on her channel in the first episode.

I've never posted my thoughts on MAL before. but this anime is so great that I feel I need to share my thoughts.

That was an amazing episode! I loved how they actually made the mistakes in Guitar, Solitude, and the Blue Planet noticeable. Really helped make the scene feel more authentic. And man, Bocchi's solo was amazing. It's great to see how far she's come, but at the same time, her progress feels realistic: she absolutely killed the solo, but she did so while looking down and hunching over her guitar. I really like that aspect of it, and further solidifies Bocchi as the most relatable and inspirational character I've seen in anime. She struggles with social anxiety, but she's still able to overcome it when needed and do great things. I also really liked her conversation with Nijika at the end; it was bittersweet learning about Nijika's sad backstory and how she's now motivated to form a great band. And now the secret's out about Bocchi being Guitar Hero!

Anyways, that was another 10/10 episode in what I consider to be a 10/10 anime. Can't wait for next week!

KITA AURA! I love how it went from that to depressing serious real-life talk about a guy whos wife is probably cheating on him. I also like the development of the blonde girl at the end. I wasn't expecting to see that this episode until I noticed she was gone for a bit. 10/10 episode. I love bocchi's episodes and how everyone is so used to it now.

Loved it!! The new song is a total banger. Big fan of good guitar riffs. I also thought it was artful how they allured to Nijika's driving motivation without outright saying it until this episode.

Always nice seeing Hitori coming out of her shell. I love a good character arc.

I had a good feeling about this show before the season started and it’s delivered every single week. I look forward to this show just as much as some of the heavy hitters. We’ll look back at this season as one of the best in recent memory and Bocchi the rock will be right there as one of the best shows of a historic fall season. It’s such a welcomed change of pace from the popular action driven shows. CloverWorks has nailed it with an instant classic. I’m most likely adding it to my favorites when it’s all said and done and pre-ordering the blu ray as soon as it’s available. Well done Bocchi!

Ouch that first song is painful to listen to. All I noticed was that each part wasn't synchronized with the others; not sure who was right or wrong.
Hitori earns the name of "guitar hero" with her solo leading into song 2.
Been waiting for the episode when she's outed as "guitarhero". If Nijika was able to figure out that Hitori was guitarhero, wonder if Seika has figured it out too, or if she just thinks nothing more of Hitori being a better guitarist than she lets on.

ROLL CREDITS!!!

And yeah, they actually started rolling the credits. That's when you can a tell a studio really put the care into a particular episode: when they do the credits rolling-style. No usual ED, and with a new song.

Cloverworks didn't cheap out and go the easy route of having our band members here stand still as they perform, apart from maybe a single frame of back and forth arm movement to cover their guitar playing. But no, these guys are moving, and are alive. Maybe it helps that these are simple character designs; but idc. I just love how much movement and expression of emotion have been put into these characters.

Speaking of expressions, I love seeing the expressions of each of those in the audience change as their performance went on. We have those who are actually hyped to see them and initially start moving to the beat of the music, those are just there to see what's up, and the older sister Ichiji, who is seemingly just watching from the back with her usual stone cold poker face. It was so sad to see those who were excited to lose their excitement, and for those who doubted them in the first place to confirm to themselves that it was a waste of time. But of course that all starts to change when Bocchi is like NO MORE, and takes the bull by the horns; as the smiles start to return. Oh yeah and of course there is Hiroi there in the corner with older sister Ichiji with none other than her typical drunk expression. Idk if this means anything, but I liked how she actually stopped bobbing her head playfully once the band started to get it together. It's almost as if she was giving some respect, a hat's off to the band for being able to pull their performance off.

Honestly one of the most of not THE most hard-hitting episode of any anime airing this season so far (for me it's between this, episode 9 of My Hero, or the prologue of Gundam: Witch from Mercury, if that counts). From Bocchi taking control of a dire situation and leading the band to victory, to the two middle-aged dudes at the bar just talking about the hardships of life, to Nijika's backstory as well as her not only realizing that Bocchi was "guitarhero", but also her own personal hero as well. And of course Hiroi spraying booze on and stepping on her audience, along with "I LOVE YOU MOTHERF*CKERSSSS!!!!!"

I think I just went from simply liking this show, to loving it.

After making us laugh, they now targeted our tear ducts, what a bloody fucking fantastic episode.

I love that you can really hear that their playing of Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet this time around had a lot of mistakes. But Goddamn Bocchi, that guitar solo start to kick off That Band was amazing.

I see that Nijika's big sister is also capable of turning to dust, such is the power of Kit-aura. It was hilarious to see Kita turn into Bocchi though lmao, I see that the Bocchi particles is still in their bodies. They're really molding Bocchi back to shape with sandpaper, I love this show.

Nijika and Bocchi's talk was so good, it made me tear up when we heard about Nijika's dream and a little about her families history. It's so sweet that Seika opened Starry for Nijika and now Nijika's trying to have her band become the best for her sister.

Nice, Nijika finally noticed that Bocchi is Guitarhero. "Bocchi The Rock!" LET'S GO, TITLE DROP! I can't wait for the next episode.

Tbh, the difference b/w when they were doing poorly and doing good didn’t sound that much different 😅.

The only reason why I could tell there was a big difference was because of the audience and Bocchi’s description of their mistakes.

Epic title drop by Nijika. I'm loving her more and more with each passing episode.

Also lmfao at BL-chin Bocchi and that depressed salaryman. Please don't throw yourself onto the train tracks tho.

Wonderful episode. Bocchi's solo was sick af and the heart-to-heart talk she had with Nijika was truly heartwarming.

Try to listen in a decent headset.
1st song drums were completely out of sync with everything else, for example.
