Is Kantai Collection a yuri?

I've just watched 5 episodes of Kantai Collection.
The anime is pretty cute and cool in general. I really like characters, plot is fine and I love the aesthetic of this series. Fubuki is nice, but some of her relations with other girls are questionable. Her fascination with Akagi makes me feel uncomfortable in some scenes and I don't know what to think about that.
Is there any oficial producer's statment about that? Or do you have any similar feelings?
