| That no-music sequence of Aki's calm and peaceful morning routine isn't something you see a lot in anime. Contrast that with the state of his house when Makima dumps Power on Aki, the poor boy has a lot to deal with. ED 4's visuals dedicated solely to Power were really fun. |

| This episode reinforces my initial impressions; this show indulges in the simple moment to moment pleasures and satisfactions that anime nowadays are too scared to embrace. In other words, it’s just fun and I’m all for it. |

| 4.5/5 Easily the best episode by far. Sure, the fight sequences were great and all but what made this episode for me was the masterful direction, cinematography & sound designs. The source material was easily surpassed and even managed to elevate Fujimoto's storytelling with glistening cinematic experience There was absolutely no need for MAPPA to go that hard on the leech devil fight but they did. I was vividly critical of their action direction last episode, as were many, but we've been proven harshly wrong on our preconceived judgement. Ryu & co. will do this adaptation justice, I'm sure of it. The added Aki scenes further showcased the deep admiration & love these animators have for the story. It gave more light and depth to his character culminating in one of my favorite moment in the episode where Makima fades out slowly to the view of the city with distant muffled voice sprinkled over. I cannot even remember the last time an old school film technique like that being used in an anime episode. Aki's whole morning routine scene was subtly cathartic, soothing & pleasing. The animators were constantly flexing their sakuga abilities and astute cinema knowledge throughout that sequence. Power, of course dismantles the short lived peace with her unhinged personality and with that, the family is secured and Makima looks very pleased, speaking of whom, they made her much more menacing & enigmatic in the anime which i absolutely approve. The ED was a banger as always, befitting of Power's homage... visually and musically. The lyrics are grim tho, quite the contrast but again all purposefully implied Loving the adaptation so far and the direction it's heading. Next stop, more Aki revelations & the start of probably the most underrated arc in CSM. Can't wait for the side characters to shine |

| With no CG Chainsaws to animate as much with only the small chainsaw popping out from Denji's head being present in this episode, the action in this episode with him and the Leech Devil looked consistent, dynamic, fluid and purely cinematic with the amount of different shots it used, looked phenomenal overall and Aki's Kon looked great too. On top of Aki's morning routine being paced and superbly directed with great animation and composition and Power's intro which looked stunning with the backgrounds, storyboards and composition too, this whole episode was just a visual flex that showcased MAPPA at its best here visually. This episode oozed passion and love for the source material, and the way it was paced allowed everything to breathe well and shine brightly. Even the fanservice at the end with Power was well animated and had that right tense feeling that Denji was going through with his bursting emotions towards the opportunity being right there for him, so MAPPA hit the nail on the head here in all fronts. I did complain a little at the start of the anime and the trailers about wishing that the anime had a more unique presentation and style to it, and while I still somewhat feel that way, at least episodes like these delivered strongly in these elements that I'm not too bothered about it anymore if these are the levels they can go with it. Regardless of how people felt about Denji and the actual content, the episode oozed hype and passion, which I can fuck with a lot. One of the most cinematic and consistently visually engaging episodes from start to finish I've seen from MAPPA for sure. Really enjoyable episode because of that. It definitely hit the spot when a mundane routine like Aki waking up, brushing his teeth, preparing coffee and sitting at the balcony reading a newspaper, looked great. Even the sound design was strong here. |

| They're doing a good, good job adapting this. I have no complaints. The most important thing is that they didn't try to "clever" Denji up, and kept his strong simp energy intact. I absolutely loved the moving in together scenes too. It reminds me of Evangelion a bit with the Shinji, Asuka, Misato situation. My minuscule nitpick from the episode: I'm not sure I 100% dig Himeno's voice. I expected a tad more of an onee-san type voice from her. |

| Felt like an underwhelming reason to go through all that trouble, life was hard for Denji, but the main focus point and motivation was getting the good life and keeping it. |

The two guys one girl team reminds me of Jujutsu Kaisen though. While Power is very different from Nobara, Denji is quite similar to Yuuji that they fused themselves with demon and are not afraid to express their love for sexy woman, but Aki is almost a copy-paste from Megumi, they're both black hair, well-composed, and skilled demon/spirit summoner. The character framework of Aki is basically an anime trope at this point, but I'm still hoping to see some greatness in his character, his history with Makima and stuff |

| It's another good one! I'm liking the way its been adapted so far. Been waiting for that Hayakawa part and it looked great. Didn't get to hear her talk much, but I'm not sure what to think of the va choice for Himeno. She sounds alright but I'm still not 100% sure yet. The ED for this one didn't really do it for me like the last, but I will say that I really like the animation they did for it. |

| Another week with another mid episode. Ending saved it though as the cliffhanger couldn't be better. Best EP so far 1.7/5. Why is that girl with eyepatch already annoying the hell out of me |
