This isn't canon or anything so you can watch it whenever. Personally i'd at least watch the Persona 3 movies or play the game so you understand the crossover character and the basic premise of some stuff going on. You don't really need to though if you just want to watch it as is, but aside from being related to the game and movie this series doesn't have that much going for it.
