Well, the anime cuts important content in Vol 4-6.
You can consider picking up from Volume 4.

It's basically Episode 16.5, if I remember correctly. They made it an OVA in order to not distract from the Paul-Rudeus family drama. As for whether you should watch this or not, yeah you should.

Yes, it introduces some important new characters that will appear later on in the series. Definitely watch it, it's pretty damn good for a special episode.

I love jobless reincarnation as it's one of the few Isekai I enjoyed from last year and the protagonist isn't stupidly broken overpowered at the moment

1. season 2 isn't out yet.

Kind of yeah. It introduces a new important character to the story. But its also not like too major if you don't watch it either. The episode focuses around Eris tho so realistically why would you not want to watch it.
