Why do people hate it??

I don't particularly hate this anime but I don't love it either. I wasn't really emotionally connected to the charcters and it was quite boring to me. The ending was a little sad I won't lie but I still didn't find this anime absolutely amazing. 7/10 for me, which in my opinion isn't really a bad rating.

I liked it for the music, but most if not all the side characters contributed little to nothing to the story and or main character. Also I didn’t feel anything in the ending. The ending felt very cheap, they killed her off so we can cry, her death didn’t contribute to any sort of development to the mc, or plot. Was just very forced.

Still a very pleasant watch because of the music and the whole mother trauma of the mc.

Who hates on this show dude? Anyway I enjoyed everything except for Kaori and Tsubaki I found them very annoying. The only reason i gave it an 8 instead of a 9. Other than that it's a pretty good watch

I didn't hate it. It was just insanely overhyped to me. It's not a good romance, their relationship is based on lies and even if kaori is terminally ill she's still a coward. The more i think of it the more i think that the whole thing was useless. Why would she tell him at the end when it was too late, it would've been better to not tell kousei at all. Shitty character she was.

I absolutely loved it, plus the ending though. I have never cried watching a show or a movie ever but will 'You Lie in April' I got emotionally connected to the show and felt as thought my heart beats were racing this roller coaster of emotions while I was watching the anime, and when finally Kaori announced about the condition she had tears started rolling down my eyes and I couldn't just stop it so, yeah I got no bad feelings for it, for me its a Masterpiece.

I didn't liked the characters, I felt kinda sad in the end but the whole show was boring for me. I don't hate it, it's a 7/10 for me
