The Nasuverse wasn't made to be experienced in the chronological order. This Reddit post was just to see how the whole timeline of the universe was set , and it's not meant to be even seen by someone who didn't watched/read all of those. Now for this Novel , it explain the past of Saber , so you can read it without knowing anything about the Fate franchise/Nasuverse , but it would be way more impactful/logical to read it only after completing either the Fate Route or the entire 3 Routes. It should be experienced last , as it touch all important plot points of the 3 Routes (aside from the main plot twist of UBW) and spoils them for nothing. #2 - Fate/Zero is not part of the Main Series. It's literally a fan-fic written by Urobuchi , who's a fan of the Visual Novel. It also contradict the Visual Novel on a lot of details. #3 - Fate/Zero is also set in a different world from the 3 Routes. And none of the works of the Nasuverse are made for kids... They all dabble in diverse mature themes. #4 - Kara no Kyoukai just share the same lore of Fate , just like every other Nasuverse works. They do share Touko , but even her is not the same "version" of herself. #5 - None of what you said was in relation to what the OP asked... |

While they are all connected in some ways , the works of the Nasuverse are also very self-contained. Even the 3 Fate/Stay Night Routes can be taken alone and feel like a complete work with a satisfying end. |
