Which character represents you the most?
| One of Gurren Lagann's impressive features is secondary characters that represent important cross-sections or subsets of society. They are roles that a society needs to fill in order to succeed. It shows the role that sort of person plays at different scales: family, tribe, community, national leader. I have lots of thoughts about what each of these characters represents. But I want this first poll to be free of any bias from my own labels. Your own explanations and thoughts are, of course, extremely welcome. As for myself, although I wish I were a Kamina, in reality I am a Leeron. P.S. Simon is not in this poll because in Gurren Lagann he represents the Everyman (or what people on this forum often call a 'self-insert'). |

| Viral. I really relate to his pain to try and fight to defeat your rival, be defeated time and time again only to realise the man he was trying to surpass was dead all along. Also his character development post time-skip was nothing short of incredible. |

| I definitely missed some important characters, huh. Lots of others. I'll add Boota next time I do this but I wish people mentioned others. Should I put Lordgenome, Thymilph, Cytomander, etc. on there? Also, shout-out to the few people who said Dayakka. Dayakka responders are smart. If I did this poll with the labels describing what the characters represented and told friends to assign people instead of people assigning themselves, Dayakka answers would shoot way up. |
