Is Queen's Blade officially finished?

So I've wanted to watch Queen's Blade for quite some time now, but since I prefer to watch an anime after all the seasons are released I hesitated with this one. For the longest time Queen's Blade: Unlimited showed as "ongoing" and there was a huge delay between every episode. But suddenly it is showing the status "finished airing" and there are still only 2 episodes out.
So I'm wondering: Is the anime considered finished now? Was Unlimited always meant to have only 2 episodes or did something go wrong in production?

I see, so Unlimited was always supposed to just be only 2 episodes long? Or was it planned as a longer series and had to be dropped for some reason?

Same as Grimoire, it has always meant to be 2 episodes only.
