Netflix has done weekly releases before but just not for anime or other types of shows , but we really shouldn't assume Netflix will automatically also own Part 7 and that part 7 will even be animated with the amount of horse riding in the part

netflix only distributes these anime, it only owns the right to stream them, that's why they're originals

so basically if David productions plans on adapting part 7 and if Netflix wants to distribute it it has a 50% chance of releasing weekly

They were probably stupid/naive enough to think they would get people to buy subscriptions just to watch p6 and keep paying for that subscription for 9 months until they drop more episodes.

Part 7 will ve hurt even more than part 6 if it's a batch release because it's way longer, with multiple characters to keep track of and very few good places to cut off.

That’s not even the issue, it’s Netflix. Netflix does not promote it at all and that’s what kills the hype. There’s no saving JoJo’s ever….

hot take: Part 7 and 8 shouldn't be animated and left alone, part 7 would require the use of more CGI due to the horses, and part 8 would just look weird animated, similar to berserk

Indeed. If Netflix fully follows through, this situation will be so much better

I got a message on my phone from netflix the minute it released, i saw ads on youtube for it, and when i hopped on netflix it was right at the top of the screen for the first 3 days it was out.
Even MAL notification came later than that.

Why would it look weird? some episodes from the Rohan OVA are in the part 8 artstyle and they look fine

that’s not a promotion, that’s just letting people know it’s out. Promoting it would be like releasing official merch, talking about it a lot before the release date. Look at Chainsaw man and Bleach, both are always talked about even before they release.
