Why is this anime (season) a 7.7?

This anime really is great and I dont get why Its so low compared to other animes, Magi and Noragami. Is there something bad Im missing because I really expect this season to be ATLEAST an 8. Like those other 2.

Imagine complaining about x anime not having a good rating.

Hyouge Mono deserve a score beyond 8.00 yet it will never go beyond that due to the absurd amount of time it took to translate + no official releases on any platforms. Be thankful that Nanatsu atleast has that

7.7 isn't bad by anime standards. It's actually high. Granted I think the anime is an actual 6-7 but I digress. Like the other person said, you don't get to decide, only the majority.

there's a couple of reasons like having a different opinion from others, also to be more exact the main guy in the beginning was just a pervert that stuck basically throughout the show. another was in later seasons the animation dropped these are just two reasons why people don't enjoy the show or think it's something that should be an 8 or higher

not saying other peoples opinions dont matter of course, I just dont understand why peopel give it a low score, I understand people have opinions but I just wanna hear arguments why people think Its bad-mid. I have respect for your opinions, just wanna know why Its rated a bit on the lower side compared to some other titles

oh ok. Sorry for jumping the gun. But yeah it's just at best an okay series for many of people if they want something simple to watch. I dunno bout the manga though, heard it was getting good there but I digress.

7.7 is actually a good rate when it comes to anime. The first 2 season were really good, but after that, the quality of animation decrease and turn the anime from something good to somtehing really desappointing. The manga is better though.

the first season is like a first step for the 7ds and an introduction to the world and character cast, usually if the anime has alot of seasons the first season is the weakest. 7ds really falls off after the 1st season, the animation isn't great, the story and character development are disappointing

I think it's a typical Shounen Anime. The story is OK, the characters are really good and the worldbuilding is also OK.
I think the rating of 7.7 is completely OK.

You named Noragami and Magi.
Think Noragami is very unconventional - not a typical Shounen and it's for both - girls and boys. I also like the openings very much. I think Yato is also one of the best-written characters in general. There are no endless fighting scenes and the character development is more important.
Magi is more similar to the seven deadly sins. I'm not sure why the rating is such high for this anime. The Worldbuilding is not bad, but the character design and the story are only mediocre...

listen I'm pretty sure if all of the seasons was done with care, the show would be way better with a lot more fans. season 1 was rly good but comparing to the others it's a joke so people letting this down. personally it was my first anime so I can't really hate it no matter what

Steven deadly sins was considered as one of the best animes before it's downfall. Maybe the score is due to a big amount of people lowering it when they discovered the anime when it became negatively popular. That's probably it. Haters.

Because the first season is just that. A solid 7. It's fun, action is decent, but meliodas is such a perv. What's fun about seeing an "old" man groping a girl that's physically 17-19 years old every 10 seconds? Animation is a bit stiff, but still better than the season after the first.

A 7 is a perfectly good score for the show. Which is more than can be said for the other seasons.
