Haikyuu is my favourite sports anime of all time and hearing the movie getting two parts is fantastic to hear.
However my hopes were quickly dashed when I'm hearing them having to adapt 110(?) Chapters for the two parts.
Usually anime movies are less than 2 hours long and I don't even know if it's possible for Haikyu to even adapt the 2 parts altogether in the first place.
Hoping for an AOT final Season Part 1,2,3 level of stretch for it to be adapted.
If anyone can put my worries to rest(or flame them even further),give your take on it?
Also I have not read the manga,so I don't know If there's bloat or character moments that are gonna be cut?

I am done with Production IG. I won't expect anything from them anymore. Taking 2.5 years for such a disappointing announcement for a great franchise like Haikyuu.

Hell noo man..why they gotta do a 2 part movie!! an anime like Haikyuu deserves to be ended like a series..movies are good I mean you could get a great quality animation but..you are adding all the emotions in a 1.5 hr which gets messed up and 110 chaps is craazzy to adapt 😐

I hope for at least a third movie too. Suppose that each cour of the movie is 2 hours. They can cover the rest of the nationals but NOT the final arc, they'd cut many important moments.

Bro Imma literally come out and say it on a forum if the movie and part 2 is gonna be amazing.
Just alot of concerns going into these movies.

Been refreshing everyday for Haikyuu news and I wake up to this.. I don’t even see how this is a smart move. They’d make more money off a show and then maybe a movie but why tf does it have to be a movie.

> Dont get a S5 and have the last 110 chs crammed into 2 movies

The movies are most probably gonna be disappointing like they take 2.5yrs ig and make a unsatisfactory announcement. Could have taken some more time and decide on 12+13 episodes season. I mean how are they gonna cover 100+ chapters in just 2 movies? I have lost all my expectations like imagine it's either gonna be damn rushed or cut out so many panels.

110 chapters in 2 movies? Of course it’s being rushed. I would’ve been fine with a season and 2 movies, but just 2 movies is such a stupid decision

It's even hard to animate the rest of tournament arc (3 huge matches) in just 2 movies (average 4h runtime) and they said they will also do the final arc. Don't know how! Just hoping they have something up their sleeves that we don't know yet.

we waited like what two years for the most disappointing thing that couldve happened, this story is great i love it so much its really just a money grab from them and the downfall of one of the best sports animes ever.

i hope so...
haikyu is my comfort anime and I like it so much.
i want to read the manga but i can't buy it for now. I hope these two movies are as good as the rest of the anime.
(sorry if my english is not perfect but it is not my first language)
