Obvious inspiration in Sangatsu no Lion

It's hard to see uninformed people comparing sangatsu no lion to this show, it should be the opposite.

That's right, the sangatsu manga started in 2007 and is in publication until today, YLIA is from 2011-2015, obviously had inspirations in some sangatsu characters like Rei and his broken adopted sister Kyoko and some of their life problems.

the point is that YLIA was animated first and unfairly stole the spotlight from Sangatsu no lion. a despised masterpiece and being overshadowed by its inspiration.

Who cares who stole whose spotlight. I think YLIA is better and i think sangatsu is boring but thats an opinion. In general people seem to love sangatsu and its rated pretty highly by lots of people

i would think of Chihayafuru or hikaru no go for sangatsu no lion. As far as shogi goes shion no O would be obvious comparison show.

Comparing it with YLIA is ignorance of the existence of all the wide range of music shows

Arguing who copies who is kinda like the mint chocolate debate.

At the end of the day they're both pointless.

They both do a good job and people have enjoyed both. It should be enough.

This is like comparing hibike and NGE… yeah the MCs have similar problems and characteristics but they are completely different shows…

never, Sangatsu > abyss > YLIA (inspiration but with a different proposal)

obviously I'm talking about the manga, it came before, so it's the original.

Both animes fulfill their purpose, whether showing the life of a pianist or a professional board player. So I think people are so judgmental, they make too many comparisons, they seem to lose the ability to appreciate. That's why I hate the fanbase of countless animes. If art is different for everyone, there must be some unique beauty, which they see in their own way. This is my way the think. But I respect your opinion :")

I've read the comments and fandom from both YLIA and sangatsu no lion r just fighting over spotlights and who stole whose,,..i've watched both the animes and comparing them would be a stupid thing, as long as both were able to make me feel touched, sad and happy there's nothing i should compare or complain about so yeah just enjoy the ANIMES GUYS!
