Before i Start the manga should i read the prologue or should i skip it

and if i should skip it when should i start reading the prologue

Start with the golden age and after you finish it read the prologue and then continue after the golden age.

Skip & read later. On its own without recontextualization it is quite weak and it spoils events from the following arc

I think you should start with the Golden Age arc and then go back to the Black Swordsman arc and go from there

I usually read by the dates of release, the prologue will spoil some stuff but if you already watched the anime, might as well start with the prologue and go on from there

Basically agree with what's above.
If you've seen the anime read from the start. if not skip the prologue and return after the Golden Age arc.

Trapped in a system that breaks originality.

just start from chapter 1. though you should be aware, berserk starts betting good once black swordsman arc nears its climax. the first 2 volumes are mediocre but the very start of volume 3 and on is all fire.

He died doing what he wanted, no matter what, right? I bet he was happy.

Start from volume 1 or chapter 1 then continue reading

Read the prologue, it is how Miura intended it to be read as it was written first. The chapter numbering is so just because of different magazine release and it's last chapters(0.9-0.16) are part of the Golden age.

read the first introductory arc,skip the 2nd arc with the fat guy(cuz it kinda takes away the shock value of a certain "thing" that cums in the golden age arc)
then read golden age arc and then come back to the fat guy arc
