Angel Beats made me use the term "cry-bait"

it's a mediocre show all the way through but the ending is designed to make you cry and thus people give it a 10

(this is all my opinion btw if you liked the show its totally fine)

I liked the anime. For some reason, I didn’t catch on to what was happening…how Menma got like that. I was confused at the end of the anime.

The movie drama made me cry though, because actual crying kids hit different.

Wolf Children made me ugly cry for weeks. Only other time anime made me cry was Pokémon Diamond and Pearl of all things. I was a kid and there was a scene where someone decided to give one of their Pokémon to someone else. The flashbacks and music and everything made me cry, and to this day it’s in my top anime moments. Even though I was a kiddo. That just ripped my heart strings 😂

I did not cry at Anohana. Part of it is because I could feel like the show was actively trying to make me cry instead of making me feel for the characters. Honestly, all the characters are kind of unlikeable so it was really hard for me to sit down and actually watch this show without wanting it to end.

haha if you hate yourself and really love crying try clannad which is wholesome as heck and makes you feel amazing then watch afterstory which gives you a happy ending again but to get there your heart gets ripped from your chest several times. It’s the saddest anime of all time and nobody will argue with me.
