| I found both characters very annoying but after reading the Slam Dunk manga I've become very fond of Sakuragi's character. Same goes for Hinata but Sakuragi is a better character imo. But if we were talking about favorite sports anime and sports protagonist then it'd definitely be Ashita no Joe and Joe Yabuki personally. |
| Hanamichi was a good character, but the awful pacing if Slam Dunk (anime) gives him TOO MUCH filler dialogues making him say the same jokes tons of times, so it gets annoying in the end. |
