Do you like Shakugan no Shana?

I don't really know if i liked it when i recently finished first season, now i'm watching the 2nd and im more on the yes side but i want to hear what you think

Edit: watched half of the 3rd season and holy sheeesh that's so confusing, tho i liked the 2nd season more than the first

I loved the first two seasons but I hate the final season with a passion. All the excellent storytelling in the first 2 seasons was seemingly thrown away in the 3rd season. From the first minute up until the last in season 3, everything was just a poorly explained confusing mess. Not to mention that the final episode had the most pathetic “redemption” attempt I’ve ever seen.

I liked it till the 3rd season, but I still do like Shana as a character.

The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

I enjoyed It for the most part, although Season 3 was not explained well so it was pretty confusing at most part's

I liked it at the beginning, but I had to force myself to finish it. By the end it was so bad, and honestly I don’t remember much about it.

here's how I felt: first few episodes I was like this show is trying to tackle some dark ass stuff without ever having the right tone. when it turn into a harem it became much more enjoyable and then the 3rd seasons much better animation quality helped the show out in the one area i thought it needed help in. I think the 2nd season was my favorite, but seasons 3 ended on a very good note. so yes you could say I liked it

I watched the anime quite recently and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The character development was pretty on point, the animation was spectacular(for when it released) and it didn’t meander too much into random plot points. All in all, an enjoyable experience.

Note: The above review is only for S1 & S2. S3 for me is kinda like DB GT…..it’s better to forget it happened.

first season was boring af imo but the second and third was just such a character development for the mc and shana that it made me like a tsundere character

in my opinion, the first season is just your everyday anime, builds the world, etc

the unique thing, is that its not a harem, and Shana only have 1 rival in terms of love rival

I enjoyed it when I first watched it (i was 14 at that time)

As I grew older, I tried to rewatch it but got really bored. My taste changes quite a lot in those years.

Like many other people here, I agree the first two seasons were pretty good. 3rd one fell short a little bit though.

s1 and 2 was p good, s3 was basically made from fear and miscommunication / distrust

3 episodes in. I hate it.
I don't like tsunderes
I don't like weak loudmouth good guys that keep bitching
there's a lot of explanation that just doesn't matter in the end. magic babble.
the art is barely acceptable.
overall it's doing an awful job at selling itself.

I just recently watch this anime in 2022. The first 3 episodes is unique and Interesting. It has some dark vibe about it. The animation is just average. My gripe is the battles dont have any rythm to it. It like the battle begins then it just end suddenlly. 7/10 for me.
