It had been ten years since the anime has aired.It was one of the lowest budgeted anime animated by Kyoto animation. It has got beautiful animation, a really different type.

I think it’s more about the time and skill of animators less so than the money involved. Such a beautiful anime in more ways than one.

Seems like theres a mini event with the 10 year anniversary at Gamers in Akihabara, other than that it's wishful thinking that there's going to be another season or ova

Hyouka is still so beautiful because u don't need any explosive colors for a simple everyday high school story. If any action anime runs on low budget it is certain to fall, unless the story is super ultra epic.

you are right, but the Hyouka has a very complicated background work,Even if it's a low cost anime.
