This one has romance, and the other one doesn't, and it feels more interesting for some reason. So... can I skip the first one?

If you don't care about the story, go ahead

You could because it takes place chronlogically before all the other ones, but you'd be missing out on a lot of the overarching plot

I don't think watching KnK specifically for romance is a good idea anyway

Yeah romance is pretty weak and not the main focus

That's not really a good idea, and romance isn't really a main plot point of the series in the first place

there is romance here and there throughout the whole series, it just takes the main stage in this one. but I would say the peak of the romance isn't even in this

the first movie is 50 minutes it won't kill you

Definitely not. The romantic subplot extends throughout the whole series so it doesn’t start and end in only the second film. It’s closer to an show with episodes close to an hour than a film series.

just watch the first one as well, there’s really no reason not to and you’re just hurting yourself by doing it this way really, but i cant really stop you so do as you wish

I nevre said they are the same on just, just didn't really have an example. By sometimes myteries can be watched\read alone (Sherlock Holmes, for example).

what I meant by my comment, was that yes for stuff like fast and the furious or Sherlock that is fun dumb turn your brain off adventure story’s u can watch it in any order. But for something like this, and any story that is cohesive in its structure of course not
