| Well that has definitely hooked me! It was so peaceful with a hint of strange and then BAM! Shit went down hard! It's giving me Higurashi vibes with a sprinkle of Island (but hopefully this will be better than those two!) Shin has really pretty eyes, but it looks like he didn't have heterochromia as a kid so I wonder what the story there is. |

| Classic Toonami-style anime that pulls you in from the go. The fact that this is 25!? eps makes me excited. Cool Bakemonogatari style murder mystery. Let's see what happens. Love these Japanese Islanders kill-myth stories. |

| Now this is a great start to a show, Im certainly hooked. And pissed that I once again missed a seemingly good show when it was airing. Im really getting out of touch. |

| When the unnecessary fan-service bits happen it kinda destroys the vibe for me, but besides that it was a perfect first episode. It really gave me a strong feeling of Higurashi-nostalgia. It's a pity that Disney kept this show behind prison bars. |

| Already a lot of suspicious things going on. Random flash of a picture being taken but no-one to be seen. Ligature marks and police shrugging it of as an accident. Mio just staring and acting like Ushio is still there at times. The girl Ushio tried to save also just staring into nothing giving of suspicious vibes. Shinpei looking for the woman according to the "drunk" even though he claims he wasn't. Shiori's family being completely gone the next day and Shiori seeing herself from afar. Seeing an older Mio kill everyone at the end. Definitely some sort of groundhog day / time travel aspect to it. Very interesting start, seems like we're gonna find out piece by piece how everything's connected to each other. (Steins;Gate vibes for sure) I wouldn't be surprised is Ushio killed herself for some sort of reason honestly or maybe Shinpei himself finding out after all the repeats he HAS to kill her for a good reason. Judging from the MAL picture for this anime I thought it was gonna be a light hearted summer vacation anime ... I was wrong lol. Also I like the different eye colours on Shinpei, I'd like to think 1 eye is in the past and the other in the future, making him able to repeat after dying. |
