If they were to do a sequel they would need to be pretty creative. The first season has a good ending that makes sense, at least to me, but I can see how they could make a second season although I got no input as to how they would do that

This isn't the question or answer but my opinion in the matter of 2nd seasons for anime are : claymore, berserk , deadman wonderland, angel beats, darling in the franxx, death note, promised neverland (a true 2nd season ) and many more off the top of my head

There is no source for a sequel. If they make an original sequel, it will kinda spoil the whole reason behind season 1 ending. So i hope it doesn't get a sequel, because some masterpieces need to be left at how it is

there is a second season for death note?
Edit: Just checked the MAL database and understood that the manga had 2 oneshot sequels which were rated low.

would be pog tier, but it had a pretty good and closed end, now here comes one thing: everything can have another season as long as the author has creativity, if the author wants a second season, there will be, it can have the most closed ending of history, but the author can always make more content out of it

I feel like there's really nowhere to go with the story. It got wrapped up pretty nicely. They would also have no source material to go off of, which could be a total crap shoot in terms of quality.

No because this is a 2 cour series and it already wrapped up pretty nicely.

I don't mind a sequel but the s1 ending was ultimate. They would have to really scratch their brains to not ruin s1

I mean yeah it would be great but is there a need for it (other than a financial aspect). I would love to watch it but I don’t want it to turn into those shows where you can tell that the only reason the continue to make it is for money. ex. SAO, Naruto series. It shows that they don’t really care about and I don’t want to waste my time watching it. The story ended from an anime standpoint (I’m not sure about the manga) and though it had problems and loose ends it still was a coherent ending. Sometimes it’s better to leave something alone then to try and add on to it and ruin it.

This isn't a Netflix Orignal with a cheap cliffhanger or something. The story had a solid conclusion, and there's nothing more to tell.

NO! cuz there is a 95% chance of it being a cash grab and thus total garbage.
parasyte had an ending and it was a pretty good one. i don't mind an unrelated OVA that happens in the same universe but they SHOUDN'T continue an already completed story.

examples of bad unasked for continuations: code geass R3, psycho pass 2 and 3, every sao season, quints 2, aldnoah 2, B:succession, eva movies, digimon adventure 2, black butler 2, some yugioh seasons, danganronpa 3. need i say more?

No not at all. The anime ends there for a reason. Perhaps a couple short ovas to kinda like show the situation after the anime ending. But a full second season would probably suck since there’s no extra source material

Not really, all the content was adapted from the manga. The ending was complete and satisfying which is pretty damn rare these days now. There would be a really high chance they would end up ruining a perfect anime

honestly no
this anime is really good and i feel like at this point considered one of the best gore/horror anime
but a bad sequel will ruin the whole series
and there isn't any source material aswell
the ending is satisfying aswell

it'll be like code geass
like after having arguably the best ending in all of anime they decided to make more just to get more money

Id rather they did a remake instead not that it really needs one

The anime already animated all the source material and the story as a whole I dont see why or how they would make a season 2 but they can make specials with the side stories

The story ended so no
I hate when companies try to milk a good show

But if the same people who made it want to make something new with the same atmosphere and mystery genre then that is something I would be happy to watch

I've never read the source material but purely from the anime's perspective I feel like it would ruin the story by stretching it out more than it needed to... a perfect example is Darling in the Franxx if they made a second season out of that I'd be fuming to the brim, the story is already perfect you don't need to "fix what isn't broken" nor "continue something" that has already been finished masterfully

No. If anything it needs a remake. The second half was one of the biggest declines in quality I've ever seen in any anime. The final scene with the serial killer was nice but overall it doesn't feel like it was well put together and thought out

My boyfriend and I didn’t really like the ending of season one, especially with the cliché monologues. Then again, they still don’t need to make a season two, Shinichi learned what he needed to from the situation with some drama along the way.

I don’t think so tbh, I think it left off on a pretty solid note and to continue the story would feel dragged on imo.

this would never happen because there is no source material left. the original source which is the manga ended over 2 decades ago. i think the story is already done.

I would like to know who sent the Parasyte's to Earth, so that alone would be nice for a season 2, but I'm satisfied with the way it ended. Trust me, dragging a story on too long is always a bad idea and my favorite anime is One Piece.

If anything, make a movie to serve as a sequel and make it a one and done or maybe a prequel to show who sent them to Earth. Either way, make it short and sweet.

Honestly, I consider this anime to be a 10/10. I think the ending made sense and has no need to be continued. Mostly I am afraid they will ruin the season 2 and then the whole anime will be ruined.

I understand that eager to make the shows we really love keep on going, but it's important to understand that great stories must have an end. I respect a lot the source material by presenting a situation, confronting it and solving it, then calling it an end. You can see this story was built and made to be like that. A quick, fast paced, intense and short story. The end.

There's no need to change anything more. This is not a hero who will face periodically enemies and all. It was meant to be a thought provoking, philosophical analysis of human nature and behaviour. Remember, this is a seinen manga. It was never about superhero fighting villains.

no no no no no way..

first of all newer anime (2021/2022) is trash imo, aside from some exceptions of course. So that would probably ruin it, and season one had a pretty good ending so it should be left like that cuz it's a nice lil ending for the whole series overall. And if the manga is fully adapted, there is really no reason for a season 2. It's too good to be ruined.
