| I barely saw anyone hate this, many critic reviewers on this site really like Angel Beats. It still had a lot of problems tho. > 12 episodes is not enough to flesh out every character > Plothole > Wild tone-shifting > Weird Comedy It's understandable if it's hated. |

Charlotte is an interesting one, the depression arc is quite possibly the best thing Jun Meade has ever penned (and I love his parts of Kanon), except then he/they go and retcon it, reversing all Charlotte's development and damaging the plot fundamentally. It is still over all pretty damn good and both it and angel beats are objectively well produced to the point that they easily match anything today - On production alone both shows should score highly by any reasonable persons standards😊👍. -Elevate- said: because this contains melodrama It contains regular drama not Melo drama, sure some events are fantastical but they operate by a system and any over the top stuff is played as comedy - So it hardly qualifys for melodrama status😅 |

| I've always thought this series was well received lol I remember my main issue being the huge cast and lack of time spent on them. I simply could not care for them at all. Could hardly remember names. Some just go as quickly as they appear and it's all somehow supposed to be a sentimental experience lol. |

I used to see people say they dislike/hate the show but nowdays not so much anymore, honestly this much hate normal if compared to other series, I think it's normal and you are to focused on that comments Surprise surprise, every popular show have haters, even the top 10 of the list. The more popular the show is the more people watch it and inevitably some of them just dislike the show and actively outspoken about it, and many more who doesn't. Don't take it personal, even I liked this show as a young adult(like you), but if I were to watch this as an adult I may find this boring because I have different mindset and you cannot fault that because it's natural. Even thats not the case for everyone, because It's not for "some reason" like you though, even the haters have different reason why they hate something, and they could even like different thing from show they hate. |

| Angel beats works with metaphors all the time. It doesn’t explain everything so you have to interpret those metaphors by yourself. Many people want a story that’s explained thoroughly so I can see when people get turned off by it |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| I didn't hate it, but I definitely didn't think it was a masterpiece, so I'll weigh in. I think the school life portions of the show weren't super well executed, and I felt like the show didn't attach me enough to the characters to "earn" the emotional climax at the end. The plot hole doesn't bug me a ton, but it also chips away a bit at the emotional impact of the ending as well. This is all super subjective, obviously, so I can totally see how one might really enjoy this show. |
