| Tbh if you want some mecha actions as extra spice I think Full Metal Panic was pretty good. Yeah its not a "romance" anime per se but IMO the romance in it is pretty damn good. |

| I'm not a big Romance or Shojo fan nor an anime specialist, and I'm replying for the first time in the forum so i am kindly asking to not cancel me..but in my honest opinion, sometimes a show might just have enough of everything where it doesn't get you bored or overwhelmed by focusing on one thing at all times. Some of the shows that can do this exact thing and also gave me a satisfying Romancy situations are in my opinion: (I will try to give a reason as for why i enjoyed and still remember the shows.) EDIT** how could I forget "Bunny Girl Senpai!" It is a MUST and it is so wholesome i love it. I loved every episode and the movies alltogether.. The healthy relationship and the interesting plot make up for the lack of world building and the few characters because thats all you need and thats everything that will stick with you Till the end. Such an amazing chemistry the main protagonist have between them that at times you nostalgically remember the chemistry you have or had with a soulmate once! Or at times you might watch the protagonists couple and smile because you're genuinely happy for them and you cheer up in hopes of having one day an amazing relationship such as this one! Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Which in my opinion is a wholesome story with real struggles at times and other times with fun and kinda edgy teenager phase plot shiz, but most importantly making the line between reality and imagination erase by transitioning so smoothly between them while also having Great animation. As well as keeping you on the edge of your sit every time they main protagonists are left alone in a very Romancy situation. Domestic Girlfriend Yes i know about the memes but is is still a great anime and i unexpectedly really enjoyed the love triangles even though i kinda cringe with these things most of the time. I think if you take the things lightheartedly and have the right sense of humour to appreciate the awkward situations the main protagonist finds himself in, then you will enjoy it. As for the dumb decisions ,you have to understand that they're teenagers.. we've all been there. Kyoukai na Kanata (Beyond the Boundary) Introducing us to a whole new world ,it has a lot of world building and character introduction, it stadily but surely builds up to a great romance between the main characters, to the point where the last movie made me cry, and if a show can make me cry then i think it means that it's doing something right. But stay aware that there are alot of things going on in the background(mostly supernatural stuff) since the main plot isn't about the relationship of the main protagonists. Dor honourable mentions: "The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" had the perfect recipe for a romantic setup and give us some potential in the begining of the show, but later on forgets about it and focuses more on the adventurous and supernatural stuff. Still a fantastic show despite its age. "Baccano" and "Durarara!!" also gave me the same feeling as the other mostly romatic types of shows while they were nearing to the end, and they did satisfy my need for a bit of romance that it just was missing, but THERES JUST SOME MUCH STUFF GOING ON AT THE SAME TIME ALL THE TIME(which is crazy and awesome at the same time iq420 levels of 3D chess) that it is no way a romance driven or based show like the others i mentioned. But still worth every single second of viewing. Of course i could've mention the regular "Your name", "I want to eat your pancreas" and "5 centimeters per second" which focuses only on the ROMANCE aspect,but i think @okayesch isn't really looking for these things since he was talking about shows similar to toradora. If he is Indeed interested in such stuff and he should definitely check out "Nande koko ni Sensei ga?" Which was a hilarious + guilty pleasure show for me. Thats all from me hope i helped.
