So, i finished toradora today and i liked it, but the end, for my, is kinda strange, i would like to know some of your's opinions about the end

It was a rather weird and disappointing ending in my opinion but I’m not entirely sure what I expected. But ultimately I wish they would’ve done more than they did. Also the MC’s mom needs more screen time.

Did you watch the after credit scene? I felt a little more satisfied when I saw it even though

There was a lot of build up lol if I remember correctly

Ep24 was one of the most idealized romance endings I had ever seen; even after how they addressed it in ep25, the damage had already been done, so it ended in disaster in my opinion. However, the very ending I will admit reinforces whatever impression a viewer had upon the characters so most people probably liked it even more or less.

Definitely play Toradora portable VN if you like the anime. Toradora anime ending was good, but rushed. The VN endings are by far the best way to end such a series.

Kind've a clusterfuck but the climax of the main relationship was nice, even it made little sense how fast their relationship was progressing.

I hated it. The show had me so excited because of ep 24 and the first 1/3 of ep 25 was perfect. Ep 25 is where I realized this show was a masterpiece and the very next scene blew me away more and is my fav scene in the whole show. THEN the author has the audacity to pull what happens next and the ending blew up in a moment. It's the only thing I would call a 9 out of 10 masterpiece and is still my 3rd fav anime but the ending had me so pissed. Thats my rant on the 2nd worst ending in all of anime behind aot.

They could have let us have more of a heartwarming ending, the way it is now is just too bitter sweet (even with the post credit scene). Everytime i watch i feel a piece of my soul leave me. I guess i want some more closure or something idk.

Nah its pretty ok i guess. A fairtytalish ending. The story was traveling in the speed of light at the end with lots of drama flying around between all the people in the end. But overall the ending is still pretty sweet.
Kinda sad for Minori though. It seems like the kind, caring, upbeat, and sweet girl always gets this kind of treatment in such show. This is what I felt bad about the ending of the show though.

The best girl did not win, I’m afraid. The romance felt entirely one sided (her liking him) and him returning her feelings came out of left field. They forced it at the end.

Simple answer: I need a sequel of the two of them cuddling each other! (Of course no se*sual content)

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I thought the ending was poetic everything was said and it gave us hope for the future but didn’t limit our imagination, the ending left a gap for people to fill and I think that’s cool.

For me the end was one of the best parts of the whole show, I loved it. The payoff of the moment the whole show had been building towards was great

I didn't feel the slightest bit of what you'd call anything more than best friend relationship between the lead characters. Naturally I find it kinda dumb decision to throw away what has been established as mutual interest in hero and his former crush , and overturn it completely. I mean, it's maybe because I didn't feel toradora are interested in each other. Atleast the guy wasnt

I just finished the anime as well and well for me, I was a bit confused at the middle of ep.25 but after the credits it all cleared up and well it's one of my favorite anime now.
Will be reading the LN after this.

Honestly, of the romance anime I've seen - which admittedly isn't very many - it was one of the more satisfying ones, simply because it confirmed the relationship was there. Too many times it's either too ambiguous or they rush to the part where they're married, but I think I prefer the way Toradora did it.

It wasn't my favorite ending. All the build up to then have her leave and we don't get to see them as a couple at all. It really angered me. But now that I've sat on the ending a little bit I can kinda see it's merits, still wish it had a better ending though.

I consider it one of the worst endings I have ever seen in all anime. It was way too cliched, and could have been done 100x better. I mean, really? Running off together to get married? After all the personality development in the show, THAT'S how you end it? The show was an 8/10 before that horrible ending. Now it's down to a 6/10. I would recommend the show of you can somehow unsee the last 3 episodes.

I had to evaluate Toradora in an unconventional way. (Not based entirely on what was shown.)

I give it 9/10 based on the relationship teases for potential love interests that were not Taiga.

The other girls got me emotional fantasizing about them during breaks between watching. Rarely does an anime have that power over me.

My favorite span of episodes were episodes 5 through 10.
Because Ami is my favorite character and that was like her "route." (in visual novel terms)
They should REALLY make a Toradora visual novel. Oh, apparently that does actually exist.

Some emotion separately came from the simple coloring during certain moments that made it look like Shinsekai yori.

Which obviously didn't even exist yet, so only new watchers of Toradora like me will make that kind of symbolic connection.

(I never watched Shinsekai yori, but I know what happens. I hate post-apocalyptic anime, so it's like Toradora on a spiritual level is an alternate GOOD timeline of Shinsekai yori.)

The thing I didnt like about the final episode is that Taiga was gone for one year. I thought that that was a bit too much. Should have been for like a couple of months, with her returning for summer vacation and transferring back in her senior year.

But I just never cared for the romance between Ryuji and Taiga. It is what it is.

The overly cliche last three episodes disappointed me a lot, it went from fun and enjoyable to frustrating and disappointing. The last episodes felt like last minute writing they were forced to do just to wrap up the story.
