They gonna keep up with Rush Duels, but new characters it seems, so a different installment, making Sevens the shortest season so far?

This looks more like a sequel of Sevens; two of the protagonists have the same last name of Yuuga

I'm quite annoyed that they keep the Rush duels. This mecanic makes the duels too short as it's easy to throw a combo out of nowhere.

Vrains duels were horrible when you think about it
Constant missplays cuz characters who use meta decks need to lose, Yusakus winning strategy relying on top-decking 3 cards in order, endless monster spam etc
Regular format just aint compatible with thr anime format, rush duels were way more entertaining tho id prefer if they were 8k lifepoints in the anime but they seem to be bent on having a single duel last an episode only

From the poster (and also because a change of pace is expected) it looks like it will be much more plot driven than Sevens. That's not a good sign, after seeing how Vrains turned out. I like simple things: likable characters, nice and varied duels; I know I won't find a good plot in an anime like Yu-Gi-Oh. That's exactly what Sevens was doing, but apparently most people didn't like it.

And I don't understand the hate towards rush duels:
- unlimited normal summons > convoluted effects to special summon 15 times per turn
- draw until 5 > convoluted effects to guarantee a follow-up, after the aforementioned special summons allowed your opponent to set up an almost indestructible board and wipe out yours, so you have to top deck the one card that lets you draw 3 when you don't have any other card on the field or hand, and then use a bunch of graveyard effects to make a comeback

because rush duel are garbage all those things listed are only good if you’re bad at the original format in the first place

the Yugioh Sevens dub is looking great i like the name changes, would give it a shot. Yusaku's dub VA would also be doing the robot, now that's interesting.

Hopefully the new series could do a better job than Sevens.
