 The 2021 special event for the Golden Kamuy television anime announced a fourth season on Sunday. The event also revealed new staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and an announcement promo.Staff Chief Director: Shizutaka Sugahara (D-Frag! director) Series Composition: Noboru Takagi (Golden Kamuy) Character Design: Takumi Yamakawa (Grimms Notes the Animation animation director) Studio: Brain's Base Golden Kamuy adapts Satoru Noda's historical adventure manga, which began in Young Jump magazine in August 2014. Shueisha shipped the 27th volume on September 22. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in October 2016 and will release the 24th volume on December 21. The manga has a cumulative 17 million copies in circulation. The three seasons produced by Geno Studio aired in Spring 2018, Fall 2018, and Fall 2020, each running for 12 episodes. Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed all three seasons with subtitles and an English dub, respectively. Golden Kamuy ranked first in the 9th Manga Taisho rankings, received the Grand Prize in the 22nd Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, and placed seventh in the male readers' division in the 2018 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings. | Like the folks that tend to overhype things say , "THE PEOPLE AINT READY !! PREPARE YOURSELF FOR PEAK FICTION LADSS , CUZ ITS COMING IN FULL FORCE WITH THIS ONE !!!" On the other hand , this new staff has got me a bit intrigued ( and worried ) info about them Is pretty scarce in the common known databases , so if there is anyone out there who can give insight into the new staff ( things that isn't already available in places anidb , Ann etc . ) It would be much appreciated. Series composition would be the same I guess . Hope they don't skip a lot to get to the latter big boy arcs Tbh, I will take any gk content at this point . So all aboard the hype train ! |

| Well well, the day has come, Season 4. Golden Kamuy is a series too popular to not have progressing seasons. Well maybe except for one: the fact that this has moved to Brain's Base, I'm genuinely worried even if there's OG staff coming back as well. |

| @TweedleDane Looking at the official staff list on the official anime website it doesn't really give much as well (just a copy-paste). https://kamuy-anime.com/staffcast/index.html So far, only Noboru Takagi as series composer still holds much promise that we'll see Golden Kamuy being the same as before. I'm speculating that everyone else (except music) will be mostly Brain's Base in-house staff, and that director Seiki Sugawara is "trying his best to match" previous director Namba Hitoshi's immaculate work. Give the new staff sometime to work things out, that's the best belief as of now. |
