I just finished watching Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995) and the movie End of Evangelion (1997)

And im unsure if i should Watch all the rebuild movies or if they’re skippable or a waste of time.

Or if they’re a must watch.

The first movie is like the first few episodes combined together but with better visuals.
You can still watch it, I don't think it's a waste of time.

The Rebuilds are an extension of the original series, although to what extent is up for debate (I can’t really elaborate much further without spoiling things). I’d recommend watching them but if you’re really skeptical about investing your time in them, I’ll put it like this:

If your favourite part of NGE was the abstractness, the philosophical/psychological elements and how they’re conveyed through the characters and their relationships, and you were satisfied with the original’s tone and ending, then I don’t think you’d get much out of the Rebuilds. These things are present in the Rebuilds but kind of take a back seat.

If you enjoyed the action and the presence of the characters (but aren’t as interested in the introspection of the characters), and was left somewhat unsatisfied by the original’s bleakness, then I think you’d enjoy it. The Rebuilds are enjoyable but are, in my opinion, more simplistic.

Yeah they’re good. Don’t expect something as good as the original series but if you watch for some decent mecha action and a good story then you’ll probably like it.

Yes, you should. Rebuild unifies the original series, with the end of evangelion and Sadamoto's manga (he was part of the rebuild team)

Yes watch them, but maybe not directly, take a break of some weeks.
The rebuild movies made me appreciate the original series way more

No, they're an insult to the original series and EoE.

I don’t think they are “must watch” but they’re worth watching if you liked the original. It gives a better perspective on Gendo’s motive and a different ending. However like Denisss mentioned above I think it’s better if you take a break if you just finished the orginal, the first one is basically a recap so you won’t miss out on anything.

If you’re satisfied by the endings of the original series or End of Eva, you don’t need to watch the Rebuild movies.

But if it weren’t satisfied with the endings and wanna see loose ends tied for the character’s stories, then I’d recommend the Rebuild movies.

And if you’re gonna watch the movies, I’d recommend watching them all, cuz they’re all really enjoyable imo.

Watching too much Eva at once is bad for your mental health, but in a couple months yeah you should watch them.

Yes. In my opinion, they're the best version of Evangelion and have better animation.

Yes, I do think you should watch them. The movies might provide a new insight for you and it's ending (3.0+1.0 movie) was more satisfying than the original one (at least to me)
Just watch the movies

Yeah they're pretty good. 3.0+1.0 is especially worth it as a fairwell to the franchise. They're not as good as the original series obviously but they're still enjoyable.
