Are kouta & yuka cousins?

In the first episode yuka mentioned kouta being her cousin, but I can’t help but notice their interest in each other & also her asking about him thinking about touching her breasts. So was that just a translation error or something or is that just how this anime goes

Yes, they are cousins as far as I can remember.
Yuka has been in love with him since childhood and that's why she's jealous of Nyū.

It's only recently started to be thought of as taboo in Japan, though the practice is still legal. Keep in mind that there's localization issues too. In anime, when a character refers to someone as a "cousin" it doesn't necessarily mean first cousin. It could be a much more distant family member close to their age.
