| I don't get it, its a 5/10 for me, why? the antagonist was highly predictable, the characters were were not that great, character development of konakawa seemed forced, the ship atsuka and tokanai what was that even about? idk there weren't any hints regarding that. Felt hella rushed seems like it was trying to do so many things at the same time. The visuals were good but that is it ig, most of the visuals didn't even contribute anything to the plot. What was the movie trying to execute? what was the ending about? is it that paprika saved the dream world by eating everything up? I had high expectations cuz 'perfect blue' (made by the same director) is among my few 10/10s. These are genuine questions I really don't know what the show was trying to do. I would definitely appreciate it if you would answer my questions, I really wanna appreciate the movie more. |

| Paprika was way too abstract for me. It tends to be way too much reliant on 'symbolism' but too much visuals which don't make sense for the plot. I appreciate the visuals but just visuals and art without an engaging plot is just window dressing for me. |
