Just a travelling alt account, I'm a huge anime fan and since I finally finished Steins Gate after avoiding it for so long and loved it hence why I just started Anohana after avoiding this series for so long too, currently I'm 3 episodes in and I would like to know when the emotional stuff will be coming in, it's been great so far yet nothing has really pulled on my heart strings that much. Should I keep watching or am I already missing the whole point of the story? Thanks in advance if you reply ^_^
Edit : I am now done with the series so there's no need to reply anymore :)

if i remember correctly after episode 5 i think the emotional stuff will come.

It goona very emotional and heart touching at the ending, or to be particular 11-12 episode. It was one of few Animes that made me cry. Ending was an masterpiece. Anohana series is masterpiece in itself.

Nope the show takes a while to get truly emotional it ropes you in with its interesting characters and overall story but (without spoiling anything) the sad stuff is mostly towards the end of the show, hope you enjoy watching it.

in later episodes, mostly last episodes for me. But if you find the first 3 episodes great you'll love the rest I guess because I was very much bored at the first episodes but love the series overall.

While the buildup is slow in the first episodes, it begins to slowly pull your heartstrings with flashbacks and emotional scenes.

The last few episodes are were it's at. As it begins to bring in the onions and make you want to cry. Top it all off with quite a tear jerking ending an this show will leave you shedding; if not sobbing fat tears down your face.

For anyone who's in a rough place and feels like there's no moving forward, this show will help. Through the friendships expressed in the anime, it will reminded you that everyone does move on eventually but will always stay connected one way or another.

Its more of a tension build up show. the entire climax happens in the last 2 or 3 episodes, but it's only 12 eps so imo its worth it

It gets emotional near the last few episodes. First few ep are just going over characters and their personalities.
