OK so the ratings aren't super good. I see people are very much divided on this one. Either they are giving it a super high score or super low score. But I heard that this is one of the classics.
There is also the problem of old Animation quality. (I don't mind it bcoz some weeks ego I watched NGE and Cowboy Bebop without any problem)
Would you recommend it to me?
Pls share your opinion.

I thought it was alright but I didn't think it was a underground masterpiece like a lot of people said it was.

I would absolutely recommend it. Im one of those people who say its a masterpiece. Honestly the story is so complex yet so intriguing that i looked forward to watching every episode. The animation is not that bad tbh although it was made in 2006. I highly recommend it to everyone

Ergo Proxy is definitely one of those anime that gets divided opinions but to me personally, I thought it was great. It’s an absolute gem that deserves more attention. The OP is actually one of my favorite anime OPs! The animation is good for the time but it obviously doesn’t compare to the animation of the more modern anime but never mind that. If you’ve seen Serial Experiments Lain or Texnolyze, you’ll probably like it.

As long as you don't have too high standards, yes. Otherwise definitely no.

Ergo Proxy is a very dark and, to be honest, lifeless title with a lot of detail. It's definitely interesting, but there's no tension whatsoever, absolutely none. Even I was massively bored with Ergo Proxy and couldn't watch more than 2 episodes in a row, although I found it quite interesting.
The implementation is probably to blame for this.

It’s a slow-paced cyberpunk taking place in the far future, similar to casshern sins. Because of the pacing I can understand why people arent really into it but I would strongly recommend if you like slow burns.

I'm not sure but I certainly didn't enjoy it.. I don't usually drop shows but I dropped ergo proxy 4 times only managing to make it up to episode 5 max each time. I've heard the plot is unnecessarily complex and pretentious, and the ending sucks as well, but this is what I've heard. now that I think about it everything I've said above can be applied to evangelion as well, I guess it's differing views.

I have a love hate relationship with this show, but the art should not be a problem at all. obviously not a stand out feature but it does not drag down this show at all. I thought the story was really complex and interesting but some parts bored me to death.

I watched it the whole way through bc like you said, it's considered a classic. After a few episodes I was confused and the ending made next to no sense. The animation really isn't that bad and some episodes are better than others, but the show is a slow burn for sure. I actually ended up googling an explanation for the show bc I was so confused lol.

I would say watch it if you want to put in the extra effort, otherwise skip.
