Why aren't the Perfect Blue novels listed on MAL?

I own both novels of Perfect Blue and from what I can read online the novels were also released in Japan originally, and that made me question why they weren't on MAL?

I know that collections for example Shiver by Ito Junji is a western release therefore not on MAL although the individual shorts are all in the Japanese volumes.

If there's some obvious explanation regarding it then I apologize, although I just can't find anything regarding it lol

Koten-bu series is listed on MAL and the LoTGH novels are too, there is no reason for the Perfect Blue novels to not be listed. there is even a top novels section in top manga.

You can create new pages for anime and manga that aren’t in MAL’s database yet if you want to. You should be able to find it pretty easily, and you just have to wait for a mod to check it to make sure it’s all good. Hope this helps

Hyouka's novel is called the Koten-bu Series on MAL.

i searched up “perfect blue light novel mal” and it’s in the data base it just hasn’t been approved by a admin yet,not sure why cause the light novels have been around for awhile now
