| To Love-Ru Multiplication, the OVA released in 2017 is To Love-Ru Darkness Manga & Anime ending. Most likely the real life reasons that paused the story abruptly (Copyright lawsuit and allegations rights from the author’s ex-wife) affected not only the Manga but also the Anime production. Xebec does not seem interested in continuing the adaptation either despite the fact that they had like 20-25 Chapters to be adapted (And this Chapters were long, 2 Chapters was enough content for a whole Episode so at least 12 Episodes were possible) Is quite sad, this franchise will remain as an iconic guilty pleasure for posterity but highly unlikely we will get other OVA or Season. Unless the author continues the story (He inferred that only Darkness finished, not the story as a whole) but it’s been many years since then. With the recent announcement of series that were “forgotten” getting sequels I guess hope remains, but we will have to wait at least another 5 years to find out. |
