Was there given a reason why people treat outcomes of games in Little Garden seriously? They treat it so seriously that when they lost their name they don't even tell to the newcomers what it was. Meanwhile there aren't only law-upholding citizens there, there are power-hungry or power-drunk scumbags too. If there wasn't an external reason it would devolve into a power-based dominance hierarchy. So why everyone there seem to treat outcomes seriously? Any explanations in the anime or LN?

I'm interested mostly because in No Game No Life rules how the world works are so much simpler and they give so much more possibilities. There the exchange is automatically enforced by a divine force, no way of escaping it. There also nobody can force you to participate in a game. This all could work. Meanwhile here you have demon lords that can force you into a game. So a demon lord forces you into a game: you win if you flip a coin and get heads 1000x in a row, they win if you fail. Why would you treat the game seriously?

Respect of the contract terms are enforced divinely as well here, just in a different way.
They won't tell the name to newcomer because that name isn't their property any more, they don't have it, they CAN'T use it (and not just not allowed to use it).
Demon lords are demon lords exactly because they rob the opponent of their free choice of participating in it. If you lose, you could lose absolutely everything so you HAVE to treat it seriously. Demon lords are not a race nor a position, it's an illegal status designing any individual that has been using his own power to force peoples to participate in games against their own will.
That's why you have former demon lords for example, who reformed themselves later (ex: Shiroyasha ); or in reverse, good peoples that usually due to tragedies fall to demon lords status (or went through both, like Alicia).

Also, Mondaiji's system has way, WAY more possibilities than what NGNL has. With the anime you've barely any real games that happen in that verse. The scale of big ones pass even the massively one done in NGNL very easily; the scale of what is in the balance in these is on a different scale as well; the variety, the depth of each big game is also vastly superior.
